Announcing Jazz saxophone player Dmitry Kondrashov and Leonid Nesterov Trio in concert at Londa Beach Hotel, Limassol on Sunday April 17.
The 2016 Jazz spring series is back at the Londa Beach Hotel in Limassol with Russian saxophone player Dmitry Kondrashov playing with the acclaimed Leonid Nesterov Trio. Having enticed full houses to the award-winning Caprice restaurant throughout last year, the renowned Londa Jazz series and the contemporary ambience of Londa’s chic boutique styling, continue to attract audiences both local and international.
Dmitry Kondrashov, a Russian saxophonist and composer, received his musical training in Russia from one of the most distinguished saxophone teachers in the country – Alexander Oseichuk, Professor of the Gnessins’ Russian Music Academy. Since 1998, he’s the co-leader of the Moscow Jazz Passengers band. Dmitry is also a soloist of the well-known “Melodia” orchestra, participating in numerous jazz festivals and jazz and blues projects.
Leonid Nesterov found his musical calling in Latvia and moved to Limassol in 2010 to pursue his career; he shares his passion for jazz and plays with many talented musicians around Cyprus, whilst he also performs with various musicians from the Baltic States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia and Israel.
Nicolas Tryphonos studied electric bass at Nakas Conservatory in Athens, at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and the Conservatory of Utrecht where he graduated in jazz double bass; Tryphonos is an active musician in Cyprus’ flourishing music scene and often travels to the Netherlands to perform.
Andreas Stephanou graduated from Rotterdam Conservatory and he is one of Cyprus’ most recognized musical talents of a new generation of jazz musicians. He travels extensively to perform with celebrated artists including Nelson Faria, Kiko Freitas and Anna Ellis de Jong.
The musicians will perform at the Caprice’s cool Italian-styled interior on April 17th. The audience will enjoy a 5-star service, with views of the Mediterranean Sea in an ideal ambience for vibrant jazz sounds.
