Announcing Russian saxophone virtuoso Konstantin Safyanov in concert at Londa Hotel Limassol on Sunday October 5.
The summer series of Jazz concerts continues at Londa Beach Hotel in Limassol with the notable Russian saxophonist Konstantin Safyanov playing with the acclaimed Leonid Nesterov Trio. Having enticed full houses all summer to the award-winning Caprice restaurant, the smooth sounds of jazz and the contemporary ambience of Londa’s chic boutique styling, create the perfect combination for a Sunday musical event.

Konstantin Safyanov, one of the best Saxophone players in Russia. Born in 1983, from early childhood Konstantin is an active participant of Russian and International jazz events. Being only 13 years old, Safyanov won the prestigeous competition “Crystal Tuning Fork”. Since 1999 he is the grantee of “New Names” program. In 2002 Safyanov finished the State Musical College of Pop and Jazz Art. Safyanov became one of the youngest Igor Butman Orchestra members in 2001. With this orchestra he participated in various jazz festivals around the world among which are Umbria Jazz (Italy), Vadso Jazz Festival (Norway), Belsko-Byala Jazz (Poland) and best jazz venues of USA such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Boston Symphony Hall, Birdland, Blues Alley. Safyanov collaborated with different jazz stars such as Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, Dave Weckl, Gregory Porter, Dominique Di Piazza, Randy Brecker, Dee Dee Bridgewater and many others.

Leonid Nesterov began his music career in Latvia and has lived in Limassol since 2010; he plays with different musicians around Cyprus sharing his passion for jazz performing with various musicians from Baltic States, Cyprus, Russia and Israel.

Nicolas Tryphonos was born in Limassol and studied electric bass at Nakas Conservatory in Athens, at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and of Utrecht where he graduated in Jazz double bass; Tryphonos is an active musician in the music scene of Cyprus and the Netherlands.

Andreas Stephanou is one of Cyprus’ most renowned musical talents of a new generation of jazz musicians, travelling extensively to perform with celebrated artists including Nelson Faria, Kiko Freitas and Anna Ellis de Jong. He graduated of Rotterdam Conservatory.

The Caprice’s cool Italian styled interior, flanked by the tranquil blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, is the perfect backdrop for the easy melodies of vibrant jazz sounds brilliantly performed by talented musicians.

The concert will start at 17:00 in Londa’s Caprice Restaurant on Sunday 5th October.
Ticket Price – 20 euro per person including a welcome drink (children 6-12 years € 10). Snacks and drinks menu will be available.
