www.londahotel.com
On Saturday 8 March, the world celebrates International Women’s Day and the Londa Hotel in Limassol has compiled a day of activities specifically designed for women to meet, share and discuss their aspirations and goals within a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
All day the Londa Spa will be offering all 1hr facial treatments with a complimentary 30min pain relief back massage. The relaxation area and gym, providing a steam room and sauna, Jacuzzi and exercise equipment will also be open to those who book at the Spa.
Moving to the afternoon and at the Caprice Lounge Bar there will be live piano music around the fire place from 4.00pm with afternoon teas served, followed later by an opportunity for friends to enjoy complimentary cheese and fruit platters offered with every bottle of wine ordered.
In the evening, at Londa’s Caprice Restaurant, guests will arrive to a chilled glass of Prosecco before dinner of a 3-course special tasting menu including coffee, all overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Booking is advisable for dinner and the Spa however, there is no requirement to reserve spaces for the afternoon entertainment and evening bar.
Having hosted International Women’s Day in previous years, the Londa finds the event to be popular with groups of work colleagues, friends and even several generations of female family members who come to spend quality time together. Londa General Manager, Jochen Niemann comments, “It is important that we mark International Women’s Day. There are thousands of events taking place globally, in 27 countries it is an official holiday but there is still much to do to make this world equal, safe and rewarding for all women. However, as awareness increases year on year and events such as Londa Hotel IDW are publicised, we can make a difference together.”
International Women’s Day was initiated in 1909, with Russian women observing their first International Women’s Day in 1913 as they campaigned for peace on the eve of World War I. Over a century later, 8 March is seen as a day to celebrate the achievements of women and look to future progress. Jochen Niemann adds, “Londa Hotel is an organisation that applauds and supports the success of women having been transformed through the interior designs of Letizia Caruzzo, and as the regular meeting place of numerous female associations.
We look forward to welcoming our guests to International Women’s Day 2014.” To book dinner call (+357) 25 86 5540 and to book a Spa treatment please call (+357) 25 86 5561.
