Wine and Dine event at Londa

Who knew that when Londa’s head chef and sommelier combined their skills, a menu of such delicious proportions would be born? But the Wine and Dine event on Friday, 6th February 2015 is the culmination of inspired choices from two of the most experienced experts in their field – we hope you agree.

The inspiration

Taking the gentle flavours of Italian ingredients, fusing them with a Mediterranean twist and adding the most complementary wines to suit was the idea behind the Wine and Dine Event. And as head chef Vassos Michael worked tirelessly to produce a menu of rare and exquisite dishes, our sommelier was pairing each dish with the most suitable wines.

Welcome to indulgence

As we greet you with a welcome aperitif of Prosecco Zardetto DOCG, you can enjoy the ambience of the Londa beach hotel and the contemporary yet so comfortable setting where you will spend the next few hours feasting on beautiful food.
The menu starts with fillet of red mullet accompanied by Italian cous cous, crispy prosciutto and saffron sauce. The opening wine is Lugana San Benedetto, Zenato, Veneto made from grapes from oldest vines of the Podere Massoni vineyard that achieve notes of fruit, vanilla and white flowers.
Following is homemade ravioli with ricotta cheese and pumpkin filling, served with sage butter sauce and the stunning Italian Rose Planet Sicily, a cooling pink foretaste to the cleansing exotic fruit sorbet.
Our main course offering is parmesan crusted veal fillet complimented by Marsala wine sauce, served with spinach and potato cake and baby carrots. With such a rich dish comes a balance in the elegant and traditional, possibly even delicate, flavours of a Brolio Chianti Classico DOCG 2010.
An Italian meal could never be complete without an authentic Italian tiramisu garnished with fresh strawberries attended by Amaretto Disarronno, the warm amber liqueur so renowned in Italy, and finished with smooth roasted coffee.
